Support City Bureau, the South Side civic journalism lab, at the 2018 Soap Box Ball as we celebrate another year of making media that reflects our beautifully diverse city.

The inaugural Soap Box Ball was held in November 2017 to a sold-out crowd of more than 250. It was created by City Bureau as a way to celebrate the vibrant communities of Chicago while also gathering the many Chicagoans who are dedicated to making our city a better place.

This year, a bigger, better Soap Box Ball will feature three stellar performers, a delicious food and beverage program, beats by one of the city’s hottest DJs, a photojournalism gallery/silent auction, raffle and more.
