Come learn about our Chicago Documenters community, starting with a walk-through of Documenters.org and our assignment workflow. In this 2 hour training, you will practice core skills relevant to a range of assignments, learn about public meetings law, and collaborate with fellow Documenters.

Upon completion of this community-building workshop you’ll be eligible to apply for paid assignments with the Chicago Documenters program. We highly suggest signing up for Covering Your Local Government, which will include more details on note taking and live-tweeting, and include mock assignments.
